The purpose of this privacy policy is to describe how your personal information is collected, stored, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase on consciouscollective.co.za.

The Personal Information we collect:

Device Information

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device.

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We collect your personal information when you register to receive our newsletter and updates. 

Should you wish to opt-out, you can “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email. 

Conscious Collective will not sell your personal information, passwords, payment information to any third party, except in the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or change in control.

Making Use of Your User Content.  

You grant Conscious Collective a broad license to make use of your User Content, including but not limited to modifying, exhibiting, creating derivative works from, and making commercial use of your User Content.

Data Retention & Storage

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.  You acknowledge and agree that Conscious Collective reserves the right to retain and store all data and information that we collect from you, in any manner and/or format we choose, in any location we select, for any duration of time.  Conscious Collective reserves the right to delete, filter, edit, remove, or destroy any data and/or information we collect for any purpose without notice.  If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Methods to Protect the Security of Your Personal Information & Payment Information

When transacting with Conscious Collective online, we process all payment and transactions – as well as collects all Personal Information and Payment Information – over a secure processing server (SSL-protected, with a valid SSL-certificate). If you transact with Conscious Collective via direct payment gateway, your Payment Information will be encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). 

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data
